How to Rent your Kitesurf Material from GIN
It’s as easy as it gets!
Step 1: Select the kitesurf material that pleases you most, and let us know your departure date and the length of your trip. However, don’t wait until the last moment- the more in advance you reserve, the greater the selection of products available to you. We also want to make sure to be able to ship to you before you leave!
Step 2: Next, you’ll receive your selected kit from GIN KITEBOARDING 48 hours before your trip.
Step 3: Now it is time to enjoy your holiday with some high-end kit, riding like there is no tomorrow everywhere in the region. Your stoke will be at a maximum, and your holidays will surely be a success.
Step 4: At the end of your trip, you have two options.
- You loved riding our kit, and you want to take it home. Contact us and we’ll make you an offer by discounting the price of your rental.
- You loved riding our kit, but want to return it at the end of the season. No worries, just make sure to clean the material with “normal” water (no salt), dry it and send everything back by post. Everything needs to be shipped back within 48 hours of your arrival back in Switzerland. Don’t worry- we will cover the shipping for this return.
Step 5: We’d love to get some feedback on your experience during your holiday for both the material and your overall experience. We want to know what you think!
From Renting to Buying
Loved the kit? Well, we’ll sell it to you and discount the cost of your rental from the original price. If you want to just buy a specific bit of kit that you rented, we’ll discount you just the rental cost for that specific bit of kit.
Insurance, Damage, Theft…
Why rent a kit? Why rent a board?
This allows you to ride the newest kit available.
You can rent exactly the size of kite/board that you need for your holiday.
If you don’t have the material for Kitesurfing, this allows you to travel within your destination country without always having to find a place to rent.
Can I Travel with my Rental Material?
Of course! That is the goal! The only restriction is that you have to be a resident of Switzerland, with a delivery address in Switzerland.
What about insurance? (Damage, Theft, Lost Items)
It is up to you to insure yourself against these risks. If something is lost or stolen, we will charge you for the material at retail price. If something is damaged or broken, we will charge you for the repair, or in some cases, for the price of the product.
The good news is that the Kitesurfer Association offers you insurance that covers Kitesurfing, theft and damage. Become a member and insure yourself to have peace of mind while on your holidays.
How do I buy the rental kit if I like it?
After your holidays, you might want to buy the material you’ve tested from GIN. No problem – let us know via telephone and well make you a personalized offer.
The cost of rental could be deducted from the final cost. If you want to just buy a specific bit of kit that you rented, well discount you just the rental cost for that specific bit of kit.
How soon before my trip must I place my order?
The earliest possible is recommended. Ideally, we want to ship you everything so that it arrives 48 hours before your trip. Preparing the product for shipping can take anywhere from 3-5 days. Additionally, the sooner you order, the more products you’ll have available to choose from.
What if I don’t live in Switzerland? Can I still rent through GIN?
No, this service is only available to Swiss residents with a Swiss mailing address. However, once you have your material, you are free to roam with it.
